Vacancy 130/2020 Casual Whanau Ora Team Leader, Home Support – Kaikohe

We are looking for a dynamic person who enjoys being part of a team to provide relief coverage for staff member/s on leave. The ideal person will be committed to making a difference while coordinating and monitoring home and community services for individuals, who have been assessed by an Independent Needs Assessor as requiring specific home and community support services.

The main area of focus is to coordinate a team that enhances independence and quality of life for individuals within their own home, whanau, hapu, iwi and community. 

You will have a mature attitude, take pride in a job well done, be reliable honest and friendly with the ability to lead staff and preferably have nursing experience.

You will ensure all work related tasks are performed efficiently and effectively by providing timely, appropriate and safe services to individuals.

The successful applicant will

  • Have experience working in a home and community support setting
  • Have a working knowledge of home and community support principles and practices
  • Hold an appropriate tertiary qualification or a professional equivalent
  • Experience in high levels of co-ordination and planning
  • Experience in facilitating meetings with people and providing leadership through example, competency and positive role modelling.
  • Have well-developed networks in the community and experience in working with people from a range of cultural backgrounds in the communities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills which will see you successfully developing relationships with a range of stake-holders both internally and externally
