Twelve people from remote Mid North communities can now fill the gap until the ambulance gets there. They have been especially trained in on-the-spot First Aid techniques needed while they wait for emergency services – sometimes 1-2 hours.

In August we ran a 2 day Emergency First Aid Course especially for Marae Volunteers and funded by a government “Support for Volunteers”Grant.

Congratulations to Phillipa Reti, Frances Pulemoana (Waikare), Piri Tohu (Pipiwai), Kui Croft (Matawaia), Rata Prime  (Motatau), Patrina Manuhuia,  Horima Neville (Whakapara/Tangataroria), Edith Brady (Pakotai/Mangakahia) Steven Tahere , Kyra Hati ( Matawaia/Motatau), Maria Nepia (Whakapara)  for giving up to your time to gain this important tohu for the benefit of your community.
