The Ngāti Hine Health Trust Board, chaired by Gwen Tepania-Palmer meets monthly to provide oversight of the Trust’s activities and support its Chief Executive Officer. The Board has an Finance, Audit & Risk Subcommittee chaired by Rob Gabel one of the board members. Other board members are Atarangi Norman (Board Vice Chair), Dr Erana Cooper, Rowena Tana, Harris Shortland, John Vujsich, Dr Te Tuhi Robust and Pauline Paraha.
Ngāti Hine Health Trust are honoured to have the ongoing involvement of the following kaumātua who were in involved with the foundation of the organisation and have continued to provide guidance and support over the 26 years of its existence.
On August 5, 2019 along with several other new staff we also welcomed the new leadership team. Jennifer Rutene-Smith, Chief Operating Officer (COO); Jensen Webber, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Amadonna Jakeman, Tikanga, People & Practice (TPP). The leadership team lead by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Geoff Milner leads the organisation from a transitional phase into implementation as part of our transformation journey into Whānau Ora.
We acknowledge all of our people who have contributed over the many years to make Ngāti Hine Health Trust who we are. From the early days of conception through the decades and into today. He mihi nui tenei kia koutou katoa.
The road ahead is directed by our strategic plan that builds upon the Whānau Ora outcomes framework our new model of practice. Breaking down silos and focusing on a whānau centered approach and whānau empowerment by supporting them to advance their well-being. Ngā koroua o Ngāti Hine Health Trust were formed into a Kuia/Kaumātua Council in October 2017 to take the role of kuia and kaumātua advisors to the Chief Executive Officer.
