Whānau Whānui in Whangārei supports whānau through a range of health, learning and safety focussed home visit programmes. To help whānau improve their circumstances and give their tamariki a better start in life.
Maiaorere Disabilities Support is a comprehensive whānau-driven service that helps people with disabilities to live full lives in their homes and communities.
This wrap-around service includes individual in-home support, weekly community activity programs and 24/7 care.
We have three community residential facilities located in Whangarei and Moerewa. They provide 24/7 care to whānau with a disability.
Our team can provide support and assist people with external and community referrals.
We can also refer people internally to ensure that they get the help and support they need to live a full and active life.
Our services
Kiripaka (Home Based Support)
Home Support Services promote and maintain the independence of tangata who require support to enable them to continue to live in the community.
Te Piringa (Residential Physical Disability)
24-hour support at the level necessary for tangata to have a safe and satisfying home life. Our Residential Service includes having 24-hour duty of care if a tangata has to remain home from vocational services for any reason.
Long Term Support Chronic Care (LTS-CHC Home Based Support)
Home Support Services promote and maintain independence of tangata who are experiencing difficulty caring for themselves because of an illness or chronic medical condition.

Leadership
The board meet monthly to provide oversight of the Trusts’ activities. Along with the Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Milner, the Board has a finance, audit and risk sub-committee.
