Hauora Services

Hauora Whānui

Hauora Whānui is our largest service and is the primary and community health arm of Ngāti Hine Health Trust Services. We offer kaupapa Māori tapuhi/nursing, GP and medical support services.

Nursing Services

Our team of registered nurses make home visits to whānau in all areas of the community. 

Nurses often refer to our other services to ensure whānau needs are met.

Clinics

Our Kawakawa and Moerewa Medical Centres offer GP and registered nursing services.

Ngāti Hine Health Trust provide Asthma Management, Measles Immunisation, Covid-19 Clinical Support and Support for Breast and Cervical Screening services, as well as maternity support services.

We also offer Rongoā Māori - traditional Māori hauora clinics in Whangārei and Kawakawa offering mirimiri (healing massage), karakia, and a chance for whānau to whakawhitiwhiti kōrero (share stories).

Our services

Moerewa Medical Services

GPs provide medical advice, treatment and prescribed medication. Can also refer to other health care proffessionals to diagnose or treat specific aspects of your condition, with support of a practice nurse.

Kawakawa Medical Centre

GPs provide medical advice, treatment and prescribed medication. Can also refer to other health care proffessionals to diagnose or treat specific aspects of your condition, with support of a practice nurse.

Cervical Screening Support

This service provides extra support for priority group women to access cervical screening, assessment and treatment.

Breast Screening Support

This service provided extra support for priority group women to access breast screening, assessment and treatment.

Asthma Management

Providing kaupapa Māori core asthma services such as: Diagnosis and treatment, education, self management plans, managing continuity of care, health promotion, ongoing assessment and referrals.

Maternity Support - Support Services Mothers and Pēpi

Providing education, support and advice to mothers during pregnancy and pēpi up to 24 months.

Māori Covid-19 Omicron Response and National Immunisation Services

Keeping whānau engaged and supported during the Covid-19 vaccination rollout.

Rongoā Māori

Our Rongoa Māori service provides free mirimiri, karakia and whitiwhiti kōrero to whānau. We have clinics in Kawakawa and Whangārei, contact us to make an appointment.

Well Child Tamariki Ora

Health and development assessment from from four weeks to four years old.

Community Clinical Pharmacist

Our Māori Primary Health Community Pharmacist provides professional advice and education to clients, whānau and other health care workers to enable the achievement of better health outcomes for Māori.

B4 School Checks

Providing Before School checks (core 8) to tamariki in Te Taitokerau aged 4-years and above.

Māori Primary Health Covid-19 Clinical Support

Keeping whānau engaged and supported during Covid-19 vaccination.

Whānau Ora Primary Health: Māori Mobile Nurse

This mobile service aims to make health care accessible for all whānau.

Kaupapa Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Access an independent nurse practitioner with advanced knowledge and skills to support and promote health.
