Hauora Whānui is our largest service and is the primary and community health arm of Ngāti Hine Health Trust Services. We offer kaupapa Māori tapuhi/nursing, GP and medical support services.
Our team of registered nurses make home visits to whānau in all areas of the community.
Nurses often refer to our other services to ensure whānau needs are met.
Our Kawakawa and Moerewa Medical Centres offer GP and registered nursing services.
Ngāti Hine Health Trust provide Asthma Management, Measles Immunisation, Covid-19 Clinical Support and Support for Breast and Cervical Screening services, as well as maternity support services.
We also offer Rongoā Māori - traditional Māori hauora clinics in Whangārei and Kawakawa offering mirimiri (healing massage), karakia, and a chance for whānau to whakawhitiwhiti kōrero (share stories).
GPs provide medical advice, treatment and prescribed medication. Can also refer to other health care proffessionals to diagnose or treat specific aspects of your condition, with support of a practice nurse.
